Anjediva Fort (Anjadip Island)

Anjediva Fort is located on Anjadip Island which is near of the Karnataka state coast. It is spread in 1.5 kilometers square area land. It was built in 1505 by Dom Francisco de Almeida Portuguese ruler. Now it is under control of the Indian Navy. This fort is in ruin condition now but not allows visiting to general public. The fort also has a Church of Our Lady of Springs which was built in 1505 by Portuguese. This fort was used to military purpose by Portuguese. This fort was populated from 1768 to 1843 but abandon after 1843 by threat of the enemy.
